NY subway question?

Does anyone know how long would it take to get from 34 Street-Herald Square station in manhattan to 53rd street, brooklyn NY, taking the subway ?

I agree that 45 minutes or more, depending on the N-R transfer, is about right, but you can always get answers like these by entering your start and end addresses at www.hopstop.com.

About an hour. The fastest and easiest way would be to take the N to 36th Street (Brooklyn) and then transfer to the R. You can take the R all the way, but that might take a little longer.
