I had mine done in jr high and high school, my hair is thin and fine, and straight, I ocassionally try scrunching it and its okay, but doesnt look, as good as it did in high school minus the bangs that stood up 2-3 inches hehe...Any way I am going to get mine permed again this wednesday, just remeber it is rough on your hair, so condition condition condition, and second if you dont like it , have a staightener put back on wich is just another perm, but combed straight through the processing to smoothe out the hair again, but dont do this for at least 2 wks to a month, and if youve never done it before have a friend or stylist who has do it for you. Hope this helps!!!!! Youll look great!!!

No, I also have straight hair and used to curl it. I made a perm several times but it makes your hair fluffy, not very nice and you have to dry it in a special way, and still use curlers for some styles. Definetly not. it won't be the same as with natural curly hair. It's for 6 months. You can try a lighter one for 2-3 months. Still I don't think that curling your hair is so difficult. I did it for some years. I put the curlers in my hair for the night, soft ones and I put them at a distance(10 cm) from my scalp so they won't disturb me when I sleep. Perm is not the same as curling hair it looks different. Remember it.

Well I have had a perm and my sister got a perm to, I suggest you not to get it because you have to comb it with a pick and you have to use all these products like moouse, hair spray, gel. Your hair will be very frizzy unless you take real good care of it and use all those products. its a lot of taking care of. It also fried my hair and I didnt like that. When I told my sister about this she still got it anyway but she learned from expierence. She decided she didnt like it and that she should have went with my idea and not to get it. You can if you want but thats only if you like frizzy hair. good luck

experience getting perms doesn't make you a genius ppl. anywhoo if you go to aprofessional & the do not over/under process & you're willing to fix it..do it..i say do it..just get like a 'body wave' if ur hair is long it will be like purple or orange. perms do not damage your hair unless its overprocessed bc the bonds are reformed that is that the neutralizer is for. yuh.

Get a curly perm, but not extra curly. It will look great. Go to a professional.
