I like this guy who I'm not sure has the same feelings for me. We've known each other for years now and back when we were in high school people thought he had a crush on me, but I was too angry about my life to pursue it.
We're going to the same college this fall and I met him up there two wks ago out of nowhere.
He gave me a hug and we talked and he left, but came back and gave me a pen for absolutely no reason. Now I can't stop thinking about him. The bad part about it is he has a gf, but I don't care I want to go after him. What should I do?

You should respect that he is in a relationship. Think about it, if the 2 of you were together, and some other girl just came into the picture and and did everything she can to get you out of his life for herself, you'd be livid. I see it like this if the 2 of you are meant to be together, things will happen on their own. Right now be his friend, respect his relationship, continue to be part of his life. Wouldn't you rather have him in your life then not at all. Just don't do anything skimming, cause it will only bite you in the as$

Start seeing him more often, become really good friends, and hopefully he will eventually feel the same way. Make sure he knows your interested. But, don't go to far because he has a girlfriend, and you don't want to ruin that out of selfishness.
If your lucky, things won't go too well with his girlfriend, and he'll realize he likes you.
If things don't go as planned, well, im sure there are plenty of other guys.

He gave you a pen? I would respect that he is in a relationship. If he is willing and eager to cheat on his girlfriend he may end up doing the same to you in the future. Keep in touch with him a stay friends. Maybe he will reconsider his relationship on his own now that you are back in his life. I would advise against doing anything while he is in the relationship.

do you really want to be known on as the girl who doesn't care. where will that lead you. then all the guys will know and test you. he has a girlfriend and you should be his friend. is she at the same school? you are crazy and asking for DRAMA! he is not the only guy at the school. you can have your choice of many single and eager men. stop trying to break up someone else's happiness. just remember what goes around comes around.

I am only guessing, but I think there is a future for you.
You will have to be patient for now, and wait and see. But, you may find someone else you are interested in, or he might stay with gf....
Things will work out the way they should. This is a long winded answer -- the shorter version is "do nothing".

youre being selfish you could have had ur time of day back when you had the chance but you didn't and he's moved on and he's prolly happy so why don't you think of him instead of what you want and try just letting him be happy. if he pursues you then fine go for it but dont ruin what he's got by trying to get with him, that just causes drama. he's taken
and if you go after him obviously you don't care about him that much because it's not going to make his life easier or make him a happier person it's gonna fu*k with him and mess up what he's worked who knows for how long to get

I say go for it you only get one life, maybe his gf is lacking something that she not giving. If not you then someone else, why give up your chance to be happy because all this idiots who answered said not to. There is something there for him to come back and hand you a pen. Do you girl know one can live your life for you.

The decision is yours, but if you respect him as much you say, why not ask him where he is in his life. But if you want to try and push his girlfriend out of the way no matter what...remember, sometimes another person can push harder and the one falling may end up in a deep gutter.

Why would you go after him? What if he's completely happy? Why shake up his world? Don't you care about other people's feelings? I strongly despise it when a girl goes after a taken man. Why would you do that to someone else?

Logic always dictates what to do in these situations.
If he leaves HER for YOU, surely, he'll be willing to leave YOU for another girl in the future. It doesn't sound like you expect him to have any scruples. Also, did you ever take into account that maybe he is actually happy with this girl?
