I have heard about public intoxication. Is that just when you are acting out of control?

Just say like sitting in lawn chairs and drinking some beers. Or standing like king of the hill.

Depends on where you are--if you are in the car the key must not be in the ignition. If you are acting ok you are less likely to get busted. Depends on the cop also. I havent had much trouble with them as I treat them with respect. If there is any doubt in your mind--just be careful.

If you are not abusive to others, are not in the public way, of legal age and are on private property, then you can not be manuevered by anyone. However, if you are in a public place, as in a tavern or restaurant that serves alcohol, there is a certain modicum of behavior which is necessary. Remember this, What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? - Romans 8:31. The Lord daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah. - Psalm 68:19. When you enter a building or other structure, where people are likely to be, just say, Peace Be To This House - Luke 10:5. This will calm you and others down so that extra libations are not required. Peace and God Bless.

That depend where you are at. Many towns have a rule that you have to be on private property of a restaurant or bar or home. Others don't. Check with your local city hall and they can let you know.

Public Intoxication is being over the legal limit in public. They can get you just walking on the sidewalk, but they will not unless you give them a reason to.

No, drinking next to a road is not allowed, just to sit on your lawn chair, while drinking, in view of the road is not allowed. Not just because of public intoxication, but because the cops may get jealous and want a drink but can't cause they are on duty (just kidding)...all I know is that it is best to drink in privacy, like behind a tall fence or back yard, away from the public roads.

It depends on where you are. Lots of cities and towns now have "Open container" laws which prohibit you from having any opened alcoholic drink ANYWHERE in public. This even includes YOUR OWN FRONT YARD in some places!!! I know these laws exist...many of the towns around where I live have them!

Stay on your property. if you go onto public property, like the street, that would be public intoxication and you could get in trouble.
