You need to go to regular college first to get a bachelors then take the MCATS; then apply to med school--and go to one that accepts you (sometimes you need to apply to quite a few); then do a residency.
Start looking in your state for undergrad schools and talk to parents & counselors about which ones to apply to.

You go to a college first. Pick one you like and feel comfortable in.

Then you go to medical school.

If you want to be a cardiologist, you then do a residency in internal medicine for 3 years (you cannot go straight into a "cardiology" residency). After 3 years of internal medicine, you need to apply for a cardiology fellowship which is another 3 years.

First college, then medical school, then an internal medicine residency, then a cardiology fellowship. There are quite a few of each.

First to college or university. Plan on acing courses in chemistry, biology, and physics. If you do not ace these courses, plan on becoming a phys. ed. teacher in highschool. If you do not ace science courses, medical school admissions commitees will ask you why that was. "You got a B." "Did you have a bad year?" "Did you have family problems?" After graduation from med school, you can take a residency in cardiology.
