you know disrespect is somthing the rest of us should not tollerate... if I were to say to you that I will make an amulet that will change the path of your life... what would your reaction be.... it is similar to what christians do when they pray for you... it is an insult of the highest degree especially when you truly believe (KNOW) that they pray to the devil they preach against..... so for every christian who prays for me I will make an amulet for you....

by the way I know of this man you refer to as Jesus... he refuses to die for you... christians get only part of the story...the one their devil god wants them to know... He's a shaman, a pagan by your words and in the end he will stand at my side condemning people like you

why do people presume I'm an atheist? I don't beleive in your god... I work with nature, I am a healer, like a shaman like the people once burned at the stake

There are many reasons why our wishes are not honored. Some Christians truly believe that their duty is to gather as many souls as possible to the fold even if the souls don't want to be gathered. Some think we are too dumb to understand that theirs is "The One True God" and all must be led to think as they think. Others belong to the Christan Taliban and are trying to codify their beliefs into laws and change this country from a democracy to a theocracy. Some do not bellieve that another spiritual path is "really a religion" so our beliefs just don't count.

Because praying is generally easier than actually DOING something to solve the problem in question. How easily people seem to forget that old saying, God helps those who help themselves...

It's like asking a short person to get something off the top shelf; it doesn't work. Praying is part of who they are. I agree with your frustration because I think prayer leads people to believe they're helping when they're not. On the other hand, it indicates their concern for you, so try not to get too offended.

It sounds as if God is already speaking to you because you seem to be reacting against the people who say they are praying for you.

It sounds as if you tell Christians to stop praying for you. The problem with that is that we will never stop praying for you. It is doing it's job because you are becoming more and more convicted for the fact that you don't believe.

Be prepared. More and more, Jesus will reveal Himself to you and you will either totally reject Him or answer the call (that is the one where He is knocking at the door of your heart) and let Him into your heart.

First of all Christians believe it is our duty to pray for everyone. Try to look at it another way- look at it as someone wishing you well, because a true Christian is doing nothing more when they pray for you. Would you be offended if an atheist kept you in their thoughts and hoped that all would be well for you? Because that is what we are really doing except that we are asking our Father in heaven to look out for you. I hope you can open your heart to those who care, that does not mean you have to accept their beliefs anymore that they have to accept yours.

I'd rather have them praying for me instead of torturing and murdering like in the past.

because in between praying for health, wealth, and being noticed for there so called good deeds, they figure they should probably do something non self righteous. just tell them that you will pray for them also. it will probably drive them nuts seeing how if they really wanted to pray for you they probably wouldn't tell you and the only reason they do is because they think they are stronger or a bigger person by doing so.

Christians are sinners to and just as week as those who are not followers i pray for people but i feel no need to make make them feel uncomfortable in the process by telling them that I'm going to. it makes no sense to tell the world or try to make your self appear a stronger believer it doesn't exist there are no good deeds of this world that will guarantee your passage into heaven weather you feel righteous or not all you can do is believe and let god do the rest.

We choose to listen to Christs commands and He commands us to pray for the lost, so yes, I will pray for you. God Bless You.

The LORD is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9

If we stop praying for you, what hope do you have? None.

If there is no God like you say, then why should it even matter to you? Are you afraid that it might actually have an effect on you?

Christians will continue to care for and pray for those who do not know Jesus, or they would not be Christians. It comes with the definition.
