It's possible that she may have twisted or broken it, in which case you should bring her to the vet straight away becuase their bones are hollow and take a long time to heal.

It's also possible that she is tired of using the foot, like how sometimes we lean on one leg rather than the other if you stand for a while. It's mostly worrysome if she stops eating, or is on the floor of the cage, soiled feathers.

Sometimes they do stand on one foot. For example....usually when they're getting ready for a nap/bed. When they're just relaxing. They always seem to favor one leg when doing certain activities. But then again, can you remember if anything happened? Maybe fell down & injured himself? I wouldn't be too concerned about it unless you know the bird could've been injured. Best chance is if it's wide awake & not putting weight on it, not eating, or just sitting on the bottom of the cage, take it to the vet & let them have a look.

It could be an injury if it's always the same foot (these things will generally be fairly noticeable if the bird let's you touch it's foot) but it could also just be a roosting habit. I know a few parrots and all of them do this as well. Hope there's nothing wrong!

If you know the foot is definately not injured then it is perfectly normal.
As birds sleep standing up, lifting the one leg locks the other in place so they do not fall over.

They sit on one foot, when contented. Check to see if he is sitting on the same foot all of the time. If so, he may have an injured foot.

Do you have different sized perches in his/her cage? Birds can develop arthritis from standing on the same sized perch. Try tree branches, rope, or different sized dowels and see if this clears up the problem.

My two are often standing on one leg, usually when resting, is yours hobbling when walking or in pain when you touch its foot/leg? If so, get him/her to vet
