Yes, he does.

In Psalm 1:4-6, scripture says, "The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. For the Lord knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish."

So we see that the ungodly will not be with God. The righteous will be.

In the King James Version of the Bible, Psalm 5:5 reads, "The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity." I think it means what it says.

But remember, God, through His Son Jesus Christ, has provided a way of salvation. If we believe in Jesus and trust in His atoning death and in His resurrection, we can move from death into life. There is not one righteous in and of himself. We can only find righteousness in Christ.

It's just that the truly wicked person hates the light. In John 3:19-20 we see, "And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved."

First, I have to let you know that Today's New International Version is not the most accurate. The versions considered the most accurate are the King James, New King James, and the New American Standard.

God hates evil. It's that simple. He and evil cannot coexist. Therefore, anyone who makes evil their lifestyle cannot be in relationship with God, and though God may love everyone, He hates their lifestyle, and it creates a rift between He and them. It's something of a harsh reality, but people can always come to God, ask forgiveness, and restore a proper relationship.

There are several places in the Old Testament where you will find that God hates wrong-doers. Just don't forget that you are reading books in the Bible that were written by a group of people that would have been considered primitive in their own time by other societies. Tribal Gods always hate all the "other" people. This doesn't quite mingle with the "Loving Father" figure of Christianity. Almost appears as if there are 2 different Gods being spoken of.

It s a figure of speech when it says God hates anybody. God is light and in Him is no darkness. Since hate is a work of the flesh (a sin, darkness) then the passages that appear to teach that God hates are used as figures of speech giving God human attributes. See Bullinger s Figures of Speech in the Bible "Anthropopatheia."

God loves the sinner, but hates the sin. And to that first guy, how do you get God as being wicked from Isaiah 45:7?!?

The first part of he statement is true because arrogant people cannot be humble even before God, but the second is transferance of human attributes to God which if as Jesus says is fact cannot hate.

Balance that with 2Peter 3:9 ""The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness; but is longsuffering towards us, not willing that ANY should perish, but that ALL should come to repentance."
And of course the ever popular John 3:16 "For God so loved the World that He gave His one and Only Son that WHOSOEVER believeth in Him should not perish but have ever lasting life."

When Jesus called Levi (the tax collector, also Jesus's disciple)

Because Jesus loved us so, he will not hate wicked people but just hate those who think they are good enough...

"Healthy people don't need a doctor - sick people do"

As we are all sinner, as long as you can turn your sin to God, he will still love us and heal us spiritually

He still loves the wicked people...He just hates the wickedness that they do.

But they can STILL choose to remain wicked and not be a part of Heaven.
That is their own choice, not God's for them
