Are there any singers/rappers/beatboxers out there who are interested in forming a kind of band?

A little idea of mine. I'm thinking of forming a completely non-instrumental band. I'm personally in the London UK area, so particular priority goes to beatboxers around London, but I wanna expand to an international clique of people, who have some form of vocal talent. As I said before, this would include singing and rapping.

I have no particular focus on musical style, but hip-hop and metal are the main areas I'd like to work on.

Maybe one day this could turn into a real venture, with record companies getting in on it.

Are you aware of Fault Line? They were previously called Sons of Pitches, Check them out on YouTube. I have had them come twice (once under each name . . ) to sing at my school for my vocal kids. Acappela harmony, beatboxing - less rap - this may be in line with what you seek.

Putting together something by asking people internationally to ring you up is not going to work. I own a classical music agency, and people HAVE to be in rehearsal and performance proximity. I played in a trio yesterday, and the tree of us were all about 30-45 minutes apart, and we meet for rehearsals and the jobs - but there is a limit to what is practical.

I'm not even NEAR London but if you don't mind my suggestion, Why don't you print up a flyer detailing what you want and see if some local record stores or music stores will post it where customers can see it.

That way you'll definitely be reaching local people and it will be MUCH easier to contact you!

Love to sing (used to do it better -- lots of jazz). Love metal (Tool, Godsmack, old Metallica are my faves), but sweet pea, I am in America and I do not think this is gonna work for us.

Alas, some long distance relationships were just not meant to be . . .

LOL, I couldn't carry a tune in a bucket, even if it was a very short tune.
