books were found in Egypt that were coined the gnostic gospels. they were around in the 50AD timescale. thats relatively close to the crucifixtion, yet thier style of christianity is extremely different than todays, with a whole different outlook on life and god/god's. too much to go into detail here while still seeming to be coherent, but if your familiar shouldnt we give weight to what they have to say

The books are treated with respect by true lovers of history, and are probably authentic. The Gnostics had some very unusual beliefs that are not taken seriously these days. The Gnostic religion was most valuable is they kept many of the scriptures that were banned by the Consul of Nicosia, which substantially changed the Bible to fit its own vision. After the savage wars over the Trinity, no deviation of central Christian dogma was tolerated.

Not exactly. The New Testament that we read is, according to current methods for determining accuracy, the most accurate historical document ever (over 25,000 manuscripts, less than %.25 deviation between each manuscript, and archaeological evidence that is discovered on a monthly bassis which corresponds to what the scriptures say). Also, the original gospels are quoted in books from the eyewitness generation. The gnostic gospels don't meet in any of those areas. Also, people who live according to the New Testament that we have see the same results that they experience back then. Again, the gnostic gospels cannot compare. All the books in the Bible are there because men came together and decided they should be included. They had a preconceived notion of what belonged and discarded all that did not fit with that idea. The Jews put together the OT and the Roman Catholic church the NT.
Most of the stories were oral tradition and only written when someone who knew how to write chose to record them.
Few people could read let alone write during biblical times.

I appreciate those Gnostic view-points as much as the Apostle John did and relates his findings in his epistles of First, Second, and Third John of the Holy Bible.

(I had to edit this)

i have no idea. they were the first Christians. i love gnosticism. I even named my daughter Sophia, after the counterpart to Jesus. i have a feeling that the roman catholic church wanted to surpress women like always, to keep them and their wisdom out of it. It is the nature of the man.

I am inconsiderate of what they say, and yes we all should too, because all mysticism is blanking the mind to reality, which is immoral.
