i don't usually wear gloves b/c it sacrifices my feel on the club. i do carry two gloves in my bag though. one is a really "sticky" glove that is for the rain (lol i live in Oregon) and the other is for in case my left hand starts to blister.

If I'm just playing nine holes, I don't wear a glove. However, if I'm playing 18 (or more) I might put a glove on if my hand starts getting rubbed raw.

Yes, they're batting gloves b/c I need one right before a tournament and Wal-Mart didn't have right handed ones. But I like the batting gloves a lot. They're more durable.
