Please, I ask you not to refer to America as a christian nation. The founding fathers would cringe at the very thought. The clause which guarantees seperation of church and state is one of the most important parts of the constitution. without seperation comes a violation of religious freedom, and I would rather think of america as a free(if only libertarian '08) country than a christian one
if you want an example of a christian nation you may redirect your attention to england from the medival period to the early industrial period. perhaps the rampant war and the constant power struggles between the anglican and catholic churches will make you happy to be in a country with a non-religiously owned(maybe next time around) government

I think most of the people who say that are probably Christians themselves and since all Christianity has to offer is a system designed to reaffirm that its followers are righteous then this phenomenon won't end soon.

Because christians are loud and annoying about their faith and are always trying to get other people into their cult, so I would say because they scream the loudest for attention.

We were born and raised a Christian Nation
Phophecies ARE being fulfilled
and unfortunately, even though Christians are the majority ( or people who CLAIM to be Christian anyway) we have mistakenly elected many leaders over the past 40 years who think they know better than God and want to take us off in the wrong direction
