My Fiance is a Marine. I am moving from Ohio. I don't have a job done there yet. I have always been an independant woman and have a hugh problem with not being able to take care of myself. He told me to not worry about it. He would pay for everything until I found a job. Do you think I should go down there without having a job? Or should I wait until I get one? Please help!!

move, and get used to the area take a couple months and then go on monster and find out what jobs are available. how can you get a job when you dont even live there yet? there are a ton of jobs in calif. and you will have no problem getting one. here is what you should do. move to cal. take your calendar and set a date on it a couple months from now. from now until that date just enjoy exploring the new area, there is a lot to see and do. when the date comes up, look for a job. take this opportunity now, when you are a newlywed. i guarantee you will never ever forget this time you took for yourself. infact, i insist you do. i know what i am talking about. when i was 20 i took 3 months from my job and enjoyed the summer. it is years later and i have never forgotten that wonderful time. this comes along once, sweetie. take advantage of it.

You for sure should go and not worry about it so much. I live in California now and I have my whole entire life. I am getting married in August of 2008 and I am going to be moving to Colorado and no I will not have a job. That is what happens when getting married. You get married, move, and start your lives together.

You should go to monster.com or any other job search site and see what jobs are available in the city you will be living in. That will give you some idea of what there is. Then a couple of weeks before you move check it out again and answer any ads you are interested in and send them a resume.

Go with him. And hit all the temp agencies. That's what I did when my hubby was in the Navy, I was working full time within a week. This will also give you the flexibility to walk away from a job that doesn't suit you.

i wouldnt stress too much about not having a job right away as long as your fiance has a stable career. I would def. recommend finding one when you get to Cali. I live in LA and i moved from pennsylvania a few years ago. I can def. tell you that it is quite a jump in standard of living and cost of living in Cali.

You are married so you should go with your husband. There are a lot of jobs out there. Even checkers at a grocery store make good money compared to the middle of the U.S.

Once you know where you will be living you can send out resumes before you get to California. When you get there you should have a couple of prospects. Good luck! You will love living in Cali!

You should probably try to find a job there before you go, or at least have some interviews or things lined up.
