We can still see the light and hear the sound of the Big Bang. We can observe evolution in the fossil record, among living species, and in the genetic basis of all known life forms.
There is zero empirical evidence for any supernatural beings and there has never been a verified supernatural miracle.

Science does not claim that humans evolved from monkeys, rather that both share a common ancestor. I do not understand why that distinction seems so difficult for conservative Christians to grasp.

That is your proof? That is too funny. No wonder you follow such a primitive belief system. You completely missed that whole 'Scientific Revolution' thing, huh?

Just like I would like an explanation how "god" made all of the good things he made. Not just some "because he wanted to" and other choppy parent to child/ child like explanations that doesn't even cover the question in the form of an answer. Most of all no bible scriptures that gets old over and over again. Cute when it was first used but now it should be buried.
Not only do they get old but it doesn't even put any thought to it, just "god did it". Where as science can give some idea to think about and conduct more studies. If we feel or find it wrong scrap it and do it another way. To bad can't do the same with the thought of a single mighty being doing all the work huh...
I read the "proof" link and once again it holds nothing how god made everything. It talks about how some person woke up early in front of the "Lord" to watch buildings go up in smoke. Nice job LOL.

You haven't been around very long, but if experience is any guide, I know where you are going with this. If you could glibly point out that someone must believe in God because he capitalized it, then I can predict where this will go.
You believe in the bible. You believe that all we can know about ancient natural history and origins comes from the first two pages of the bible. Nothing will dislodge this bias. No facts, no matter how overwhelming, will cause you to bat an eyelash. Permanently fixed in your myth=science mindset, the facts, the truth, the evidence, and the effort will be wasted on you. No doubt you have seen some of the evidence, but in Pee Wee Hermann-like petulence, you will keep demanding more and then smirk with derision at the fine evidence people present you. The people of the flat earth society will not accept anything offered as proof of the world's sphericity, so why should we think fundies will behave any differently re. evolution?
Am I right about this? Your mind is made up. No proof will ever budge you. Am I still right? So why should I try to enlighten you when it will be like writing on water?
The guy capitalized God because it is a PROPER NOUN! BTW, if *you* capitalize it, aren't you violating his instruction that he is not to be known by any name? Remove "the" and capitalize it, and it's a name now. Won't God be mad about that? Won't that just negate the heaven-points you score with your flaccid evolution-bashing?
Yes, Nathan, that site hardly missed a trick: every spurious, fallacious, dishonest argument in the fundie repertoire--all in one thee-page cartoon. Chuck full of lies and deliberate misrepresentations. True propaganda and so similar to the garbage the Nazis put out.
And another creationist myth is about Darwin recanting on his death bed. There is no evidence that he did.
Ah, Jessica, how simple and blissful ignorance is! If we could all non-think like you, what a wonderfuler world it would be!

Again, what a theory is is something that has lots of evidence supporting it, has been researched and tested, but hasn't quite reached a point where it is 100% accurate or isn't known to be a universal constant yet.
Evolution is nothing more than looking how something has adapted to the enviroment over the thousands and millions of years. We all know that human and animal physiologies change of periods of time when the world they live starts to change on them. Are you implying that creatures have changed so little over the millions of years, that they are still pretty close to what they used to be?
Our DNA's are nearly identical to that of monkeys. Why is that? It's because we come from common or at least similar ancestors, and to survive, we needed to change differently from each other.
Why are some people's skins darker than others? Because their people developed in enviroments where they were more exposed to the sun, so the darker skin protected them more. Why are illnesses so difficult to wipe out? Because the strains continuously change and evolve so new drugs are needed to keep up.
Now a question for you: Why is it that there are so many fossils that look similar humans, but they disappeared when new types of human-like fossils started popping up? Why haven't humans always been around? Why do each more recent set of fossils look more like humans than the previous set? Did we just sort of pop up on the scene one day, right after all other up-right, human-like creatures disappeared?

Evolution is a scientific theory which we arrived at as a result of studying biology, botany, geology- we adopted the theory because it's based upon what we know from these other fields. We can examine living microorganisms, insects, mammals etc while matters pertaining to God?? That's all theory because there's nothing directly available to examine. So the burden of proof is with people who insist that somewhere out there beyond the physical world where we can't see, hear or touch- there is a God. But the evidence of evolution is all around us- in things which we CAN test, measure and examine.

The trouble with Evolution is that people have a hard time believing it because it is a very complicated process, and they don't want to take the time to understand it and or study it. The problem with Creation is that’s its simply hard to believe, I don't see how in all honesty someone could believe the earth magically appeared in seven days. The main reason a person doesn't believe in evolution is because they were taught as a child to believe in creation and the stories in the bible, so they reject evolution, only because it contradicts what they were taught to believe, and they won't open their minds to other possibilities. And for some odd reason no matter how much evidence evolution has stacked against creation, creationists continue to believe in a book that was written by people who thought the earth was flat. I was taught creation and the stories from the bible; however I done my own research and then I used common sense to find that evolution is real. As far as proof of evolution goes, go to a zoo and look a chimpanzee in the eyes and tell me that we have no genetic connection with them. One thing I am so sick and tired of is a person saying we evolved from monkeys; WE DID NOT EVOLVE FROM MONKEYS!!! We evolved with them from a common ancestor. If you really want to find the answer to your question, I suggest you do your own research, and find the evidence for yourself, that’s the best way to go about it.

Do you look exactly like your parents? No, of course not. Do your children (if you have any) look exactly like you? No, of course not. Every generation is slightly different because of the mixing of genes. Logically, if you stretch that over millions of years, you end up with beings that are very dissimilar to their ancient ancestors.
The amount of physical proof out there can fill a library. I read all the time and I still haven't scratched the surface of all the evidence that has been compiled.
It's also important to note that evolution is not a theory, it is a law. Beings evolve. That's been accepted fact for hundreds of years. The theory (the one with the most credence) is *how* we evolved. And that theory is Natural Selection.

A scientific theory is a hypothesis that has been tested, and retested and demonstrated to be valid. There is a huge body of evidence that supports evolution. It is a well established and tested theory.
You do realize that "theory" never means "guess" in the English language? Think about it, when the hero in a mystery novel says he has a theory, it means that he has gathered the clues, formed a hypothesis, tested that hypothesis and come to a conclusion based on the evidence. That is how a theory in science works too.

extremely than supply you one thousand examples from one hundred distinctive fields of technological expertise, i'm going to easily supply you my very own familiar occasion. It definitively proves human/chimp trouble-free ancestry (btw in case you have a rebuttal to this i might like to hearken to it). So in accordance to evolution, human beings and chimps shared a trouble-free ancestor approximately 6 million years in the past. So if it extremely is actual there might desire to be similarities in our DNA and there are, yet there is one substantial distinction. they have 24 pairs of chromosomes, we've 23. you may now't in simple terms lose a chromosome, the embryo could be non-practicable. Deletion of a complete chromosome is deadly. So there are 2 opportunities: a million. A chromosome fusion surpassed off interior the human lineage AFTER the chop up from the common ancestor, leaving us with one much less pair, or 2. evolution is fake. So if we do have a fused chromosome we'd desire to continually be waiting to locate it. Chromosomes have markers on the top called teleomeres, yet while we've a fused chromosome we'd desire to continually have one chromosome with inactive teleomeres interior the middle the place they do no longer belong. If we don't locate it, evolution isn't actual. seems that's human chromosome #2. that's possible to pinpoint the proper fusion internet site to interior of a dozen base pairs (out of three billion). Human chromosome #2 resulted interior the face to stand fusion of two chromosomes that stay separate in different primates, and that they correspond directly to chimp chromosomes #12 and #12. the rationalization for that's because of the fact they are arranged via length, #a million being the main important. so because it extremely is it, definitive DNA information that we share a trouble-free ancestry with chimpanzees. Evolution is certainty.

Evolution theory and Big Bang theory have nothing to do with why I don't believe in gods. I know plenty of christians who can reconcile these theories with their beliefs.
You are not among them. Which means you are probably one of that small but loud group of US creationists. I'm sorry, but I have no patience with your ignorance. There is a world of proof out there if you would just look beyond those crummy creationist websites.
