Check with the local wrecking yards, they get them all the time. They go to auctions to get what they buy, but they are usually not open to the general public. You might try to convince them to find you what you want for a decent finder's fee. Good luck!

Auto auctions, police impound yards, junkyards, the newspaper lists auctions all the time. My question to you is "why would you want to own a salvage/rebuilt car? It's value is greatly diminished, and many have continual problems, especially if there was electrical/computer damage. Check newspapers for states located near a disaster(like Katrina), there will be tons of ads for selling cars, and most will carry a brand after suffering a flood like that.

Salvage yards comes to mind. Depending on what you are looking for, you could try the GSA auctions. (Government Service Administration). Call the DEA in your area, they also get some decent cars. I called the one in Miami and she was very helpful. You can also find the number for your local police department about the abandoned cars that they take in. I don't think that you can title them, but they could be a cheap source for parts. good luck.
