I'm a first time mom to an awsome 12 month old. She is very smart and (in my opinion) developing very quickly. She already walks, well stumbles around the house and can communicate to what she wants. The problem is that my daughter has been taking off her diaper when it's wet and then still wets her crib. I do sleep her with her jammies, but I live in Arizona and it tends to get really hot so i sleep her just in her diaper, any advise???

LOL....... now my daughter wouldnt wait that long. Mine had hers off minutes after i would put them on her.... She just wanted to be nakie i guess....... I had to tape the diaper on her. NOT to her skin, but all the way around the diaper so that she would leave it on.....

I tried onesies, diaper covers, jammies, she would be nakie in no time..... She finally got tired of pulling at tape she couldnt get off and gave in........ lol... but we potty trained early because she was happy to wear panties verses the diaper.

I'd introduce a potty to her now, since she obviously does not like the feeling of being wet. Can you blame her ??

For night time, maybe try a onsie over the diaper ?
Or just change her in the middle of the night once or twice, so she isn't sleeping in a wet diaper.

duct tape or a onesie over the diaper. If she knows how to unsnap the onesie then get a one-piece swimsuit to put on over the diaper. A swimsuit with a high back are harder to get off.

I first heard of the duct tape idea back in the early 1980s and other parents swear by it.

you can try some packing tape or duct tape just around the diaper for at night, or a pull up that maybe hard to get off or even put a thick pad/sheet(like 2 feet by 2 1/2 feet square) like they use in hospitals under her.

My daughter did that. She just eventually grew out of it. I usually put her in onesies so she couldn't pull the diaper off and when it was hot I just put those cute little bloomers (diaper covers) on to keep her from doing it so easily. Good luck.

From the time my youngest started to walk and take things off she started taking her diaper off. My husband said that he was going to get duck tape and put around her to keep it on (he never did). She went through several diapers until we decided to start puting onies on her. Eventually she grow out of it and I'm sure yours will too.

try putting the diaper on backwards. or you could try using cloth diapers. they work just as well as disposables and they make them with snaps now which are harder to undo than the sticky tabs.

it may sound weird, but try potty training her, maybe the diapers are starting to feel akward on her and she doesnt like it.... maybe she needs more air flow... yah know?? haha... she might like the "big girl panty" better!!

*potty trained my almost 3 yr old daughter at 15 months and she loved it!!

Don't put her in just a diaper...put a Onsie over it or thin cotton shorts and a t-shirt.
