Will I ever believe this could happen?

I can never believe that a man can love me. I'm 24 years old & every time a guy expresses his affection to me I either think he's lying, he'll grow out of it later, he's just saying this coz he is hopelessly lonesome now, he's just confused about his feelings, or whatever excuse I can come up with to make myself believe that there is NO WAY a man can love me! Why am I like this & if u were the guy how would u feel if I act like this?

I feel for you, and theres a reason why,it could be to do with your perception of self worth, but the only way is to try to be loved and see how it ends, its no fun being alone, 24 is a beautiful age to be in love, its great to be loved and love no matter how it ends, a man will love you, I am in love with this one woman i cannot totally explain why but when I see her my life just moves to another level, she cant believe it either.

Have you been hurt in a relationship before? Because this might be the reason...if you've been hurt then your instinct is to never let someone get that close to you ever again so that person will never be able to hurt you. You need to understand that not all guys are like that, but you need to get to know them very well before letting your guard down.
Another reason for this is because maybe you're not happy with your looks, but i can assure you that everyone is attractive to someone and you've gotta flaunt what you've got and stop being so insecure about yourself!
If i was that guy, i would feel like there is no need to bother, i'd feel as if i'd been blown out and you had no interest and you were one of those stuck up girls (which i'm sure you're not!)
Its natural to be this way at first, but once you get to know someone and what they're all about, then you can judge whether they mean what they say or not...if they say it more than once, i'm sure they mean it. Especially if they're not just saying it because they want something.

you probable got hurt badly before so it would be normal for you to feel this way but you can't continue to do that to yourself otherwise TRUE LOVE would pass you by.
if i was a man then i would feel rejected and sooner or later i'll get tired of that and leave.
but on the other hand if i really love you then i'll stick around as long as i could.
so honey you need to let go of the pass experiences to move on to the future.

i think you really dont trust guys and i dont blame you.
but not all guys are the same and if a guy is expressing his interest in you, give it a shot. it doesnt hurt to give anything a try.
if you keep pushing guys away, then your proving yourself right. Your supposed to let yourself take risks and get hurt and maybe one of these days you'll find someone who will stick and then you'll know hes the right guy.

Guys would probably think you're a psycho and get tired of your self-degradation. You should consider talking to a therapist to help settle the issues causing you to think this way.

it sounds like you have serious self doubt issues. you need to let your inhibitions go and get more confidence in yourself. if these guys are telling you they love you listen to them, let it sink in. don't be so down on yourself and start thinking about the reasons they would love you, as opposed to why they wouldn't.

wow...that is funny that u asked this question because its exactly how i feel with my bf. im starting to think that u know what??? im good enough and pretty and smart. why wouldnt he feel that way!?
