Hey, I'm 5'3 and I"m interested in modeling, but I'm not sure if my height is gonna be a problem for me. Do you think I would be able to model? (I'm 14)

First, I would consider that you are young and still growing, but it also depends on what sort of modeling you want to do. You would not be hired for runway/ a lot of high fashion. I'm 5'7" and considered short in the modeling world. On the other hand height isn't such a factor in commercial/artistic models. You just need to be confident, believe in who you are, and be easy to work with. Poise and presence are also very important. Go where your heart takes you!

You can certainly do commercial modeling for catalogs and stuff like that, since they need normal everyday people for those shoots. Runway is for the taller-than-normal crowd, though.

You're only 14 and still growing, so who knows? Are either of your parents really tall? You might grow a few more inches by the time you're 18, but don't expect to wake up one morning at 5'11" or anything.

Modeling is very risky. It is very expensive to get started, most people have to go to modeling school to become one. Getting a job is very slim because there are so many other people trying to get the same job. You will have to constantly deal with people telling you to loose weight or gain weight, they dump all over you and i dont know about others, but that would kill my self confidence, that why so many people become anorexic and what not. and even tho you look great, they still modify the pictures to give an immage that no one in the worl can live up to. i hope i dident just kill your spirit, because if its something you are willing to do, and deal with all the bad stuff that comes along with it, i would recomend you go for it! fallow your dreams, but realize its a difficult life style.

Depends on lots of things like what type of work you want to do, your looks, your confidence ......I think getting a portfolio of pictures & aproaching a reputable agency would be the best thing to do.

they want you to be 18 and 5'7 or taller. they rarely high a teen unless it is for clothing for a store. but hieght will play a factor. they a picky unless you are doing ads for clothing for teens. then maybe.
