first off... you should never take the kittens away until mom is ready to wean them herself... screw what everyone else says... if there was only 3 then it will take her longer becuase she has alot of unused milk.... it should only take her about a week and a half until she dries herself... but keep checking her nipples because if they turn a blue-ish purple color then you have mastitis problems. A good thing to use to ease pain and prevent mastitis is bagbomb.... it comes in a green metal tub looking thing and most likely will have a cow on it... believe me it works miracles!

give your cat katnip.... it will help her relax a little.....

DO NOT GIVE HER MILK OR EGGS OF ANY KIND WHILE SHE IS DRYING OFF.... this will INCREASE her milk production which = BAD NEWS!

Her kittens shouldn't have been given away until they were weaned. I know it's a pain, but you really need to get the kittens back for a few more weeks so they can be weaned off of milk and onto dry food! They can't survive like that. Do it for The kittens, and the mother.

Please.

What did your vet say? You did bring the mother to the vet during pregnancy right? Your vet will know the cat's history and be able to help you with her milk drying up.

Kittens should never be given away until after they are 8 weeks old, completely weened, and the mother's milk is dry. It is dangerous to the health of the kittens and the mother.

Please get her spayed

How old were the kittens? Kittens should not be taken away from their mother until they are AT LEAST 6 weeks old.

It takes a little while.

Give your vet a call and talk to them about what to do, they may be able to give a shot to stop the milk production.
