Here is my routine:
Kickboxing (Cardio big time) 3 times a week- 1 hour each time
Swimming 3 times a week - 1 hour each time
Running once a week for 45 minutes
and I bike everyday because it is my transportation mode.
And I walk my dogs everyday
I work from home so I need to get out and move, otherwise I can't sleep at night, I am hyper etc.... I feel like I am addicted to working out, because the days I don't, I am super hyper and impossible to sleep (I am 30!)
Is it too much? or it's ok?

It does relieve work related stress...
but I think now I am stuck to it, because when I don't exercise, I am as hyper as my border collie! and I feel the need to jump and move. ... that's why I am talking about addiction.
I don't want to take anti-stress drugs or hyperactivity drugs either.

It's very good because you're doing different things each day and swimming is low impact

Working out 7 days a week can be as bad as not workng out at all though working out can combat stress to much can also bring stress on. you need your rest days for your body to recouperate walking the dogs is fine but no strenuous activity 7 days a week it can upset heart rhythmn so your resting part of your heart is up all the time instead of it been lower it seems you may have a lot of stress and when you started exercising you found that it worked but the more you did the more you wanted to do so making you more stressed when you dont or cant work out try 3 heavy work outs a week and the rest leisurely exercise walking dogs swimming not fast ot tai chi hope thats of some help

Hi! You sound alot like me! I am a 30 year old female. I workout 7 days a week and have been for almost a year and feel great! I am addicted and loving it! As long as your eating enough, getting enough rest and drinking enough water you will be fine!
I do 30 minutes of step aerobics on 10 inch step 6 days a week.
I walk for 45 minutes 4 days a week.
I strength train with weights 3 days a week.

If you don't feel as though you are starting to drag a bit, then it's perfectly fine.
Just make sure that you are eating enough to cover all your workouts. Especially protein. If you are not a meat eater be sure to get enough protein from whey powder and meat substitutes.
My son is hyper so I know the feeling of always having to move. If he doesn't, he gets angry and stressed so it's best to let it all lose with exercise.
However, if you feel like you want a day off, don't feel guilty about it. If you do then you should tell yourself that you need a day off every now and then.

It is alot, but not too much. It just depends on how well your body is conditioned. Your body will definitely let you know if/when it is too much and you will know that it is time to slow down. Entertainers and professional athletes sometimes work out for many hours each day to remain in shape.

I find that I do some type of physical activity every day. As with all activities, one can go past the level of moderation. As long as you feel your work outs do not inter with you daily activities, I suggest that you are doing quite well.

When you have trouble sleeping, amongst other things, it's a sign of overtraining. Plus, your muscles need time to rebuild-- you should have at LEAST one day a week where you aren't working your muscles (a rest day).

Unless your energy intake is insufficient [too few calories] or you're finding yourself feeling sluggish and sore from neglected muscle fatigue, I'd say you're just fine.
