Your girlfriend is wrong for invading your privacy. She knew she was wrong because she initially lied and said she didn't read the diary. Yet, later in anger she threw the information back in your face.
I think you have been given a preview of your future with her. Do you really want a future with this woman? It seems she is showing you her true character, and you would be better off without her. Get out before it is too late and she is pregnant.

Writing in a diary is sometimes the only way that a person can get out their feeling without hurting themselves or anybody else. So writing bad things in your diary is NOT a bad thing. Your girlfriend had no right to read it without your permission. So you are the good guy here.

So did the book fairy force her to open it and read it? If you are wise, and I hope you are, you will get away from this relationship and FAST !!!
The fact she opened it and read anything shows she has no respect for you. That is a big red flag dear. And the fact that she exploded goes to show she can't handle the truth because what you wrote was the truth and was not mean in any way.
So now give some thought to all this. Is this really the kind of relationship you want with someone for the rest of your life? She is VERY immature and won't change just because you want her to or because she says she will. It will take time for her to learn how to act like an adult so you'd best be giving this alot of thought. This is NOT the way God meant for relationships to be.

She is the one in the wrong. You have every right to express your opinions, either directly to her - or in your case - in the privacy and sanctity of your journal. However, I do believe that now that the cat's out of the bag regarding your personal stance, you two should have a serious discussion.
When you say "formal" education, may I assume that you mean college?
Let me tell you this: I've known people with 2 MBA's working for ME for minimum wage, because they couldn't find a job, and I was making 2x what they were, and I never finished college. While I'm not putting college down, I must underline the fact that it is not the be-all-end-all of society.
A fancy piece of paper will NOT guarantee that you won't be standing behind a counter asking, "Would you like to super-size that, sir?" Remember that.

The purpose of a diary is for someone to write down their thoughts and feelings about anything they please without having to fear anyone reading it and judging them. It is personal property and that's why most diaries have a lock on them.
She invaded your privacy by reading your diary and that was wrong.
If I were you, I'd never leave my diary out again.

She had absoulutely no right to go and read your diary. It's private! Besides, sometimes we write things in our diaries that we don't mean...I myself do it all the time! You can write anything you want in your diary.
Ooooh, so now it's YOUR fault you left it in the kitchen and she decided to take a peek? Who's at wrong now? She can't say things like that! She can't just go and read other people's diaries! How would she like it if you read something that was private that belonged to her?

Your diary is yours and you are entitled to write whatever you feel like it in there. It's not like you were having a conversation with someone and saying these things about her.
She is the one in the wrong and if I were you, I would have serious trust issues when it came to her. If she will read your diary, who knows what else she will do!?!?

It's your diary, you are allowed to write whatever you want to write in it. I don't think what you wrote was so bad, it was all an opinion, and the way you felt, which is what your diary is for. She should not have read it, period.

ok the person who read without premission its understandable you want to understand to have trustful relaiotnship you can tell each other anything but dairy is scarced is for the person who writes in it and the one they want to share it with. Sometimes people need there pirvacy and there time alone with there diary so they may organize their thoughts. Some of those thoughts are not undrstandable to another person but if she or likes you for real they will understand it not them but at that moment its what they were thinking
