I fill her large bowl at least 3 times per day. Sometimes she lies down by her bowl and just drinks. She has a play and then gets tired . Her weight is fine and she eats well dry food. Is this normal?. I was thinking Diabetes but isnt this in older dogs?

If she is eating dry food she will need to drink a lot. The dry food will absorb all the moisture in her body and she needs to replace it. You could try soaking her food in warm water until it is soft. She might not feel the need to drink so much then as she will be getting all the moisture she needs in her food. Just make sure she always has plenty of water available.

This is a problem that is being caused by the dry dog food. If you wet the dry food, it only brings out the bacteria in the food, so don't do that. You need to get your puppy off the commercial dog food and onto to a homemade dog food diet. I would suggest that you go on amazon, com and buy the book Woofing It Down, it talks about this problem, and it will tell you exactly why the dry dog food is causing this. I has tons of recipes, and you'll only have to cook the food like once a month,

no diabetes can occur in any dog and any breed . I think you should be consulting your vet and having your dog checked just to be sure . good luck and I hope she or he is okay .
