An article was posted at arcamax.com in their "religion news" section. It was not clear, from the article, whether the museum is near Cincinnati or located in Petersburg, Ky.

It just opened on Memorial Day weekend. They projected that 250, 000 people would visit this year, but in 2 months, 100,000 have already visited.

It is a high-tech, $27 million, 60,000-square-foot museum and planetarium, which presents a scientific view of the biblical creation account. The museum, a project of the "Answers in Genesis" ministry, features more than 50 educational videos, animatronic dinosaurs and a special effects theater.

In Glenrose, Texas, there has been one there for as long as I remember! The Creation Museum here is just wonderful and there are many who travel here just to visit this site.

I think it is wonderful as the river flowing next to this museum is filled with fossils and dinosaur footprints that you can actually stand in!

Yep, it is a good thing to scientifically and Biblically look into these things as I believe it takes both to get to the truth!

I don't take that museum seriously. As you pointed out, it's a creation account, although I could argue the "scientific view" of it.

Trust me, it is a museum in name only. The complete disregard of scientific theory, the perpetuation of hoaxes, the absolute making up of facts does in no way make the place a museum. Nice sci-fi theme park, though.

Did I know about it? When it was brand new, we probably got 20 questions an hour about it here on R&S.

So I guess if you have $27 million, spending it on building an anti-science museum is the "Christian" thing to do?

It is a shrine to willful ignorance and denial. Enjoy at risk to your intellect and integrity.

"presents a scientific view"

You won't find a single peer-reviewed scientific concept in the place. However, they will, gladly, snap up your $20.

It's ridiculous, and it's definitely not science....

Why would the process of elimination always automatically point out to their creator....It is also remarkable to many non-christians that christians tend to ignore other equally plausible gods in favor of those of their own religion. i.e. Why can't our creator be The Flying Spaghetti Monster, Allah, a Deist god, Zeus, Apollo, Poseidon, a box of cereal, Krishna, and others more. I have much more respect with old earth creationist than with young earth creationist. At least most old earth creationist admits that evolution exist.

Not only that, they are using a circular logic book as evidence...“The Bible is God’s word, because God says so - in the Bible.”

And it is a joke, a very bad one.

There is no scientific view of the biblical creation account other than simply 'it is not true'.

Yes. It's Jurassic Park for idiots. It tries to promote fiction less effectively than "The Flintstones".
