That's actually funny. The question highlighted and the explanation do not seem related. Forget the Crusades, USA did not exist then. I still have no idea why that nonsense happened other than Christians didn't wish to be the only ones NOT fighting for "God."
By virtue of the fact that they are Christians, they become convinced they "get it". In reality, they don't "get any."

I'm a Christian. I didn't scream bloody murder when they took the 10 Commandments out of the courthouse. I also do not believe I am being persecuted. If I was, I would thank the Lord for the experience. I'm sorry you have a view like this of Christians, but not all Christians are alike, as with any religion. People are going to be people, but there are some that truly strive to be loving, joyful, peaceful, patient, kind, good, faithful, gentle, and have self-control. I apologize if anyone specifically has made you feel that way. We all have fallen short of the glory of God, no one is perfect.

In the mind of a Christian, it is not viewed that the people were being tortured and murdered in vain. It is our belief. I completely respect that everyone will not believe in what I believe in. The "bloody murder" being screamed is that those words are our heartfelt and life led beliefs. I do not feel persecuted for it, I believe that whatever persecution that I feel on earth will be redeemed in heaven with my maker. I do find it curious however that you were reluctant to disclose your religious beliefs.

Ha Ha. You are so right.
by the way, I am a Christian and I agree with you.
There are too many people bending the book these days.
You can't justify murder, no matter how hard you try... the bible is very clear on this.
You can't say that abortion is wrong but war and the death penalty are perfectly fine.
The blood of the innocent accused in Salem is on the hands of people who think this way.
dont get me wrong, I support the war against terrorists but I don't try to say it is because I'm christian or its the christian thing to do. That will be for God to sort out.
Annybo, the answerer under me needs to speak for herself. I am a christian and don't think that way. I do think that the united states has murdered in vain. have we really stopped terrorism?

I'm sorry but I don't think so your always is wrong that the other guy that gets it not me?
I aslo do not sing any song about people being tortured and murdered for Christ.
And yes I don't like the ten Commandments being taken out of the court that is my right to dislike or like just like yours.
And yes we are being persecuted and yes I'm aware of what the bible says about it and it also says he will come back for us. And that people that don't believe will go to hell. I do believe that too.

You are way off base and are making sweeping generalizations. We are not all the same just because we're Christians.
We do not ALL have the mentality that you describe.
If you had a great great great grandfather who was a rapist and a murderer, should we assume you are one as well?
I think not.

A little old lady bumped MY car and yet, she got out and screamed abuse at me!
I was 'F' this and 'F' that and yet sat proudly on the back of her car was a 'i'm a christian' symbol.
Thank god (ahem) it was HER fault, if it'd been mine i would have probably had the shite kicked out of me!
Your right my friend, up the Jedi.

We don't, you are trying to be a judge, aand doing poorly. Everyone don't share the same view. That is definatly not what Christians stand for.

Christians have a problem. They think they are better than the rest of the world and in their ignorance they forget that they are a minority. They praise violence and fear God. Great religion, eh?

you need to repent and be baptised in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins. In other words obey Acts 2:38.
