my mother and i just had a big fight and i feel horrible about it. let's just say that i was arrogant, over-critical and very judgemental. my mother was very hurt, and i woke up this morning to see she had left the house for some alone-time(she told my brother this), saying she'd be back in the evening. she has never ever done this before.

i feel like a horrible daughter..

how can i show her i am truly sorry and make things better?

mothers and daughters fight.

and they get over it.
hug her. apologise. and all will be fine.

your guilt is a very good sign that you truly love her.

Well you could start by doing all of your mothers daily routine at the house while she is gone. Then when she returns home, she will notice it all done. This is the time that you should use in order to tell her that you finished everything so that you two could talk. Wording everything just as you did here would be a great start. Then not forgetting to tell her how much you truly love her along with how sorry that you are would also be a good thing.

Why not tell your Mom what you just told us??

Tell her that you are sorry and that you never should have reacted that way that you did and it was very childish of you and you understand that it will take some time for her to get over what you did.

Let her know that you are going to give her the space she deserves and when she is ready to talk about it, to let you know and then leave her alone.

She is hurt!

Well, some things you might DO are clean the house, do some wash, dishes, make dinner.

But I think what would really heal her heart is a long letter from you, stating all you said here and apologizing profusely! Leave it on her pillow, and make yourself scarce until she comes to you.

Please take this lesson to heart....its hard to be a teen, and hard to be MOM to a teen...you both need to make up, and try harder to understand what each other are going through.
God bless both of you!

Make her dinner, make sure the house is cleaned up, pick her some flowers and lay them on her bed, leave a note apologizing and letting her know she is the light of your life. Don't approach her until she has seen all of this, just wait. After a while, go and squeeze her real tight and whisper to her, I LOVE YOU MOMMY, ALWAYS!!!!
Good luck and god bless your family. Family is all we really have left in this world so treasure them all sweety!
