How about the economic costs and lost civil liberties that American citizens incur in the name of stopping illegal immigration?
At the Tijuana border, with over 100,000 crossings a day, there is no wait going South, but coming back it averages over two hours wait in line. Thats a million bucks a day worth of time right there, nevermind the law enforcement salaries.
On a recent trip to New Mexico, I never came within 20 miles of the international border. I had to stop, along with everyone else on the interstate, for inspection by immigration/border patrol officials in San Diego County, Imperial County, Arizona border, Arizona border on my return, and again in San Diego County. Every trucker on the road lost money and time by stopping. Every citizen got to look at the uniforms and the dogs and wonder if they are acting in a way that will make those people curious, or if their nephew smoked some pot in the car or whatever someone in uniform might consider 'hinkey'.
I don''t want any government telling me where I can live, work or play , and don't see any reason to treat others differently. I'm an ordinary blue eyed white haired old foop, those who have a different eye or skin color or a barrio accent must have it considerably worse. I don't like wasting an extra hour on a 10 hour trip just to be looked over by law enforcement on the chance they might catch somebody illegal. I don't like being forced to explain my presence or my intentions in being on the road in my own dam' country.

I'm not "Pro-Illegal" but I'm not going to give you any anti-info either as there is a fair amount of that here already.
I just want to make an observation.
I find it interesting you only want to hear form people on one side of this issue. Wouldn't it be more impressive if you presented both sides of the issue and then could actually refute those "anti" arguments in your presentation?
At least that way, your speech would be somewhat credible.
But that would take an awful lot of work and then there's the possibility you may find you are on the illogical side of this argument/issue.
The unfortunate word here is... "Illegal."
Just a thought.

Ok.. Good for you...your one of my HEROES.. ok so here it goes
They do the jobs that no one else does for little money-meaning that American companies and businesses are saving money...this is good for America bad for illegals cause they don't get the $$ they deserve.
They work hard to get their money and then they spend all that money on American products and American stores making them money...-again it benefits America
Those that don't pay taxes and are invisible live a terrible life and have to keep their own money hidden in their house because they can't have bank accounts etc. they can't have medical insurance or other stuff like that ---again it does not benefit them.
Those that do pay taxes what an injustice...because they work 5x as hard as other people to get 1/4 of what legals get (moneywise) and they have to still pay taxes--again they don't earn that much money and whatever they DO earn they have to put it towards taxes...whatever they spend towards American businessess and stores...so HOW ARE THEY BENEFITING??
Please I pay taxes, am not on welfare and am not on food stamps. Why is it wrong when illegals do it and not legals? Your just ignorant if you think that way because your basically saying I will pay for those that are legals but not for illegals...what's the difference you are still paying for people who aren't working or doing their part! Americans who are legal are also on welfare and food stamps...what does that mean? That they are lazy. Americans are also criminals it's not just illegals. If americans did the jobs that illegals do ...it would cost America 10,000 lets just say.....if illegals did the job it would be 5,000 just saying...not based on actual facts just common sense. Illegals charge a lot less in exchange for silence...and little money. If America wasn't benefiting or Businesses then they would stop hiring illegals but they don't...Why? Cheap labor..low wages to pay...and more profit for the business.
Bottom line...illegals are staying..there is no way they can kick thousands if not millions of illegals out. It just can't be done...there is no one to build the wall except of course the illegals. I doubt the rich wifes of orange county are going to get down of their pedistals and go build a wall...doubt it...they may break a nail. That is how most of America is now days...which is why illegals are here.
This is a good thing your doing.....and your right....you'll see! That is why they are finding a way to keep illegals by just making a work visa..why again? Cheap! They need them it's that simple.

economicallY: illegal immigrants are usually the peopl who get the jobs that no one else is willing to do, the dirty, nasty hard jobs that are very nessesary but no one likes to do, also they do them for a very low wage. By doing these tasks, they help the economy. They are also a very large part of the population who consume lots of products and spend lots on money on many things, money that helps the economy.
Culturally: we lear new things, people grow more tolerant towards other cultutres, they enrich american culture, which is after all a group of elements from several different cultures.

united states will destroy any legitimate, democratic gov'ts anywhere in the world, specially in neighboring Mexico. we have supported all corrupt leaders in all countries, including Mexico. lets either not intervene in their politics( not possible since if Mexico gets to have a legitimate and real democratic gov't, then other countries learn and demand the same, including USA!) because of their corrupt and puppet gov't, they have so much poverty and therefore need to go to USA for jobs. we further use the cheap labor who make rich richer.

For every dollar illegals put into our economy they take 3 out. You are incorrect it does not benefit us as a society. Illegals kill 12 Americans every day. They get free health care in hospital emergency rooms paid for by American taxpayer to the point where hospitals have closed down due to no money coming in. Any study claiming it benefits us is bogus

Your crazy! There is not benefits. Legal is totally different. Illegally...
1) they don't pay taxes
2) they breed and expand the illegal population
3) they refuse to learn English
should i keep going... maybe you should change your topic to legal immigration you can have a good debate then.
