It depends on your age and other factors. The human body has a built in chemical clock (circadian rhythms) that determines how long you naturally sleep and it can be set by habits; its natural setting to a 24 hour cycle is by light. A wee baby needs much more sleep than an adult and an elderly person needs less. The consensus is that an adult on average needs about 7-9 hours sleep per night.

Hi hun! It depends on how much sleep you need to function ok! I sleep 4 to 5 hours a night thats all I need! hugs!
