That's why i thought live earth was such a b*llocks idea because its celebrities poking there noses into matters they haven't got a clue about. Not mention the fact that show probably melted a hundred square miles of Arctic and i didn't even know it was on until it finished, Bob Geldof(i thinks that it) you are a genius.

We should kill all the celebs and nature which alone is responsible for something like 75% of carbon emtions or we could remember the fact that carbon emtions have didly squat acttually to do with global warming and that it is purely how that the sun is which is heating up the world.

But can we still kill a few celebs, ive always hated Tom Cruise.

I have ignored all of this so far, but you make a good point and since I work in energy, i would like to add to your questions here. You are right, a few of us car-pooling would never add up to what a jet puts out in the terms of JP-8 which is like a diesel fuel that planes use. It's pretty nasty and it can cause heart problems when it gets into your system.
Now for the electric cars. I see that everyone keeps saying use electric cars instead of gas, well what a second where does electricity come from? Coal, Natural Gas that is taking from the oil drilling or steam filling oil caverns. So I would have to do the math on it but i am sure that the electric cars take a lot of juice to recharge. The big 3 needs to release the carburators that get 80 to 120 miles per gallon technology, that's what we need to do now & people can install retro kits for their current cars, hell even installing a K&N filter helps

Personally, I think you're all a bit nutty. Blame yourselves for the issues and leave the celebs and government people alone. They are only a small part of the problem while the grouped masses are the larger share of the problem. Everything that you buy, or use had to be produced which caused green house gases to be released into the air. That wrapper on your bottle of soda came from a factory where the chemicals to make the label release gases that must be burned off because they are pollutants. This still produces green house gases. We the people are the biggest cause of the problem whether anyone likes that point of knowledge or not. We drive industry to do what it does, so the issues of global warming can be brought right to all of us for all of the stuff that we insist on having.

What? How can you even suggest such a thing? Celebrities and politicians, living in 14 bedroom houses for 1 or 2 people with their hot tubs and swimming pools heated to just the right temperature while they fly around in private jets to worthless events or to survey the damage common people are causing the earth, could never be the cause of any thing negative to the environment? Could they?

Absolutely! Imagine how many chemicals were released into the atmosphere during the live earth concert! Im sick of celebrities preaching - they are the biggest hypocrites!

Why don't the preaching celebs, ride a bike. It may take them longer, but we won't have listen to them as often.

Tax their jets and tax them for owning more than one house!

Because us poor people won't be able to afford the increased taxation whereas rich people can. So, even if we told them, they wouldn't listen.

Celebrities have the right to live as they please, but I don't think they have the right to tell everyone else what they need to do for the environment if they can't do it themselves.
