dont play the shallow game, so what if your family dont think he's good looking. as long as he treats you right then thats all that matters. family are not always right. my man is a royal marine and i was told he'd use me and dump me. my family where adamant about this. has he? no. we're still together and he loves me very much as i do him. dont listen to anyone else. if he makes you happy then you stay with him.

Generally family only want the best for you, and I have to say that in hindsight my parents were always right about boyfriends of mine when they didn't like them! Saying that though, if the only thing that they have against him is that they don't think he's good-looking enough for you then that is incredibly shallow.
Something else springs to mind though - could they just be using that as an excuse because they just think he's not right for you but can't put their finger on why? Is it worth asking them that?
If it's purely that they don't think he's good-looking enough for you, then stay with him and be happy! If they do have a genuine reason not to like him, then listen to their point of view, think it over but then go with how YOU feel.
Good luck!

dont know to be honest, in my case my family loves the guy I am with, and we love each other to bits...but I would not stay with him just for tha sake of my family...u know what I mean? Its nice when family gets on with your man and all, but would their opinion really change the way I feel about him? - no.

In most cases your family want what is best for you, but doesn't mean they are always right.
Sometimes you have to make your own choices and decisions in life.

It is your life, not your parents. They can advise but no more.
We give our grown children our opinion, but never tell them what to do. They are adults and we have had our younger years. We just wish them happiness and success in all they do.
