I know that they are probally to young but, can I at least wash the puppies with puppy shampoo? Can I wash the mother in flea shampoo? Should I just use puppy shampoo on her as well?

Oh no.. You should talk to your vet.. Fleas are not good for puppies at that age.. Fleas can kill them. BUT so can flea preventatives and flea shampoos etc.. You should talk to your vet and get something safe for puppies.. You don't want puppies feeding from mom when she has been shampooed with flea shampoo..
It has a residual effect, that's how it continues to kill fleas.. Puppies cannot have that in their little mouth..

Talk to your vet. There aren't any over the counter flea killing meds that are safe to use on a nursing mother or pups that young, that I know of. You can wash the mother with regular shampoo and try to comb the fleas and eggs off of her, but you have to kill the fleas around the house and yard as well of they will be right back on her and the pups. Do not use flea shampoo. Talk to your vet!

At our hospital we recommend putting a dose of Advantage on the mother. It is off label use, but very safe. The fleas will be killed from coming into contact with the mom. Go ahead and ask your vet what he/she thinks.

NO! They are too young to bathe... ask your vet, but I believe Advantage or something similar by Bayer is safe & effective... my vet gave us some when that happened to our puppies.
