Don't! Sure it might look good now, but think ahead! If you ever take it out it will leave a nasty scar, and you are still growing which means that you could end up with a long hole.. Are you planning on being a granny with a pierced navel?! So not cool!!!

You are already way too concerned with what is "popular" in our society. Just because people do it doesn't mean that it's right or cool. I have never heard a single guy ever say" Oh wow, she has such a beautiful navel, I think I can't wait to date her!" I believe that it is really a silly thing for you to do. What's next? A tattoo because all of your friends have one? Be yourself and stop trying to fit in with a confused, "attention getting" set of girls, who follow any fashion magazines' idea of beauty and glamor. You can be yourself with out peircing anything!

Well first of make sure your parents are okay with this because they WILL find out. Its hard to be normal in the beginning because the first time you hit it you will NOT want to do it again!! lol Its great after it heals but when you first get it it will hurt...bad! I got mine done @ about 17. You have to make sure you have low rise jeans on and make sure your tops do not get stuck to it..because if it does omg OUCH!! that's all I can say! Also my girlfriend had hers done and it got infected as did mine but not like hers! She was growing an extra head out of there..lol The Dr. actually advised her to take it out! She didn't but it took a looong loong time for it to heal. Just so you know they say it takes a long time to heal anyway like 6months that's what the Dr. told us. Most importantly they say you have to move it because if not it gets stuck and make sure you clean it constantly they usually give you a big bottle of BACTINE when you get it done. One more thing if you can avoid doing it in the dead of summer maybe think that over because the heat and sweat can actually promote an infection...well hope this helps...Good luck and be sure to take a Tylenol before you go in! lol lol

If you really want it and your parents give you the thumbs up, go ahead, but you have to take care of it! Don't forget it, you can rip it off. Make sure to clean it properly, because it is easy for it to get infected at the begining. It happened to my sister and she had to let it close. Don't do it if your friends have it so you want one too, or just to be 'cool'. Other than that I don't see any problems.

i say don't do it cause when u want to waer a shirt that shows your navel people don't want to see your navel peired. Also i suggest that u don;t do it behind your moms back. and it hurts like hell. My sis got it done and she took it out when she got home. My mom found out and went bonkers.

It's not so bad. I know lots of girls who had peircings at that age. The only thing, after, don't forget you have it. I know two people who, while drying themselves after showering forgot about their peircings and accidentally ripped them off their skin! Another guy i know who had his brow pierced, ripped it off while taking off his shirt...

You should not care what we all think. Be yourself and try not to worry about what others say or like. Listen to your parents they have been your age and understand all you are going through.
