To stick solely to your question, there is nowhere in the Scriptures where Jesus asks us to celebrate His birthday.

Good question! It doesn't say. We are supposed to keep the Sabbath though but try finding specific and solid evidence which day that is. I think December 25th comes from a guess at which day He was born. I heard He was born in October. It a commercialized holiday, another reason for us to go out and spend, spend, spend. I doubt He would be offended if we didn't celebrate His birthday. I think the best way to honor Him is to recognize Him everyday!

To my knowledge and experience in religion, never any prophet who comes with scriptures have birthday to celebrate. It's the followers make the decision to celebrate the birthday and fixing the date after his death.

Jesus did not ask us to celebrate His birth.
However the angels did and that's good enough reason for me.
I know that we don't know the date of his birth. Dec 25 was chosen to get attention away from another pagan holiday.

A friend sent me this video recently. It explains why the birth of Christ is determined to be December 25th and why so many religious figures throughout the history of mankind share the exact same traits as Jesus.

In the book of "Wal Mart".
Three days after the Winter solstice, formerly "Saturnalia" - a time of a Roman orgy. It was meant to replace it.
