A Paradigm. (A set of assumptions, concepts, values, and practices that constitutes a way of viewing reality for the community that shares them.)
The part of the definition of "viewing reality" is what establishes the ground for being used as to build a radical militant theology.
This paradigm came to exist as a rebirth of the old Jewish law, because while liberalization of the Jewish by westerners have stopped many wrong rituals and traditions, (like stonning, honor killing and even an eye for an eye, killing of the unbelievers, killing of idolaters)
All this is reborn in the Muslin Quram. So they have fallen in the same unreasonable pattern for which they blamed the Jewish people.
The Bible does not go far from being also a paradigm but in this one, the radicalism is replaced for the selfish serving of the poor and needy, and the renunciation to greedy materialism. (note that we all are materialists, otherwise we are dead)
In the modesty of Jesus he never showed full support of the Scriptures as not being altered (hence he disliked the Scribes) While it is said that the Quran makes citation of itself.
Jesus was critical of the Scriptures, dogmas and traditions, thus representing today modern thinking. But remaining truth to the truth, which is: God is love, and love is suffered, unselfish, but at the same time does not rejoice upon injustice.
Today, most muslims speak against non-muslims, but they close their eyes to their muslim oppressors.

just like other HOLY books.
Its a great "guide" for life and how to live it!
Just like anything... things should be taken with a "grain of salt"... don't take things too seriously.
Just do good to others... and others will do good upon you.
As soon as you drift away from this... then.. .what 's the point?
Islamic extremists... have done so...
and this has tarnished the Islamic faith!
The World sees the bad things... thus stereo types Muslims.
However.... the "americans" whom support, WAR.
Are not innoscent either!
Just like i mentioned... do what you wish to be done upon you!
And well... fighting in Wars... isn't the solution either.
Extremists... are doing nothing different to Americans than what Americans are doing the rest of the World.
(unfortunately, mainy Americans don't see War as a bad thing)
All in all... violence is violence. There is NO right kind of violence.
Will there ever be world peace?
Probably not... there will always be a group of influential people (driven to profit from Wars and redevelopment=American/European economies)
To find world peace... i suppose we need to find a better way to make money!???

I actually have a copy. Allah evidently has very little respect for women. Heaven may be at the feet of the mother, but most of the residents in hell are women. There are some twisted quotes from the OT, but they really aren't very accurate. It's true, what you've heard about the violence toward other beliefs Allah commands through his prophet. Everyone is to submit to Allah (the word Islam means submission). If they refuse, they must be forced...if they can't be forced, they must die. There are some exceptions...some may be allowed to keep their own religion, if they are willing to pay a protection tax for the privilege.
And then...there is Jesus. The Quran tells us that He "was" a great prophet...although there isn't anything in there about His prophecy. The amazing thing, to me, is that the Quran tells us how Allah and Jesus "pulled a fast one" on the populace, making it seem as if He had been crucified, when, in reality, Allah had already lifted Him to safety. Jesus actually never suffered at all.
Allah, you old trickster! Good joke on the Jews, eh?
But, what I can't understand is...if Allah is, indeed, capable of pulling such a stunt, how can anyone ever trust Him??
EDIT:
Meng tze is correct...there is not one word in the Quran about love.
Passing strange....

The followers of this book will also be forced to follow the Laws of Moses along with all other religions which is written in much more scientific detail in the Bible than in the Quran.

The Aardvark (Orycteropus afer) ("Digging foot"), sometimes called "antbear"[1] is a medium-sized mammal native to Africa. The name comes from the Afrikaans/Dutch for "earth pig" (aarde earth, varken pig), because early settlers from Europe thought it resembled a pig. However, the Aardvark is not closely related to pigs, being placed in its own order.
Description
The most distinctive characteristic of the Tubulidentata is (as the name implies) their teeth, which, instead of having a pulp cavity, have a number of thin tubes of dentine, each containing pulp and held together by cementum. The teeth have no enamel coating and are worn away and regrow continuously. The Aardvark is born with conventional incisors and canines at the front of the jaw, but these fall out and are not replaced. Adult Aardvarks have only molars at the back of the jaw.

Full of good principles and ideas (like sharing your wealth with others, showing compassion and doing good deeds).
However, it totally fails to recognise that salvation is a gift from God. Faith in God is not enough because even the demons believe - and shudder. Good deeds are not enough because no-one is good and all our good deeds are like filthy rags to a holy and omnipotent God. The Qur'an falls short of the mark - it suggests that we can earn our salvation.

A song dictated from Mohammed as a way that God wants us to live with ourselves and others.
A way to live in peace with each other said repeatedly different ways.
A book that teaches us that women are second class citizens and not a partner.
A book that states its proof that is from God is that no one has ever written a book like it so it has to be from God.
A book that misquotes from old testament stories. A book that states Jesus never said he was the son on God, even though the new testament has written testimony to the statements he did make.
Says that Jesus was a prophet, but says nothing of what he did nor of how he preached of love
Love is not mentioned in this book.
