Whilst most of us are tired of hearing it, few, very few are tired of saying it.

Relegion all comes down to what you believe is going to happen when you die. Some believe nothing, while others believe everyone passes thru a thin vail and all will be ok. As a christian if they are right and I am wrong then I am safe, but if I am right and they are wrong they will have all eternity to think about it. People who actually study and research relegion often find the proofs in the Bible and become a christian. Dont assume things that make you feel good are right. Read study and you will find the truth. Remember a lot of people believe in God but then so does Satin. You must be saved, but free will makes it your choice.

This is all about CONTROL and herd mentality. People want validation by having other people go along with them. Don't buy into it.

The whole heaven and hell thing was put together by some early monks who needed a spmplified version to sell their religion to some local illiterates.
It does not make sense that God, our loving father, would cast us in a lake of fire forever just because we screwed up.
Fact it, we all go back to God's Light when we die, and we all eventually review this and other lives to decide which lessons we want to pick out to learn in the next life.

Suppose, for a minute, Joe, that you saw a small child about to walk out into a busy street. I'm guessing that you would run to that child as fast as you could, and lift him up out of danger, wouldn't you? If there were people in your way, you'd push them aside, rather than let the child be hit by a car and killed, wouldn't you? Suppose the kid didn't want to go with you...maybe his ball rolled out into the street...you'd fight him till you could find his parents, wouldn't you?
Most people would feel just that way. I know I would.
If you can understand how someone might be rude and insistent in the case of a child about to die, perhaps you can understand how Christians feel about you.
Still, you are right...there ought to be a more elegant way of saying it.
God bless you, Joe...(whether you believe in Him or not, so there!)

It doesn't bother me one bit - I don't fear what I know is not to be true. It just makes a little bit sad that the myth of a metaphysical "Hell" still exists, when a brief study of history will show its origins not to be real.

Consider it part of the need people have for being right and judging others. Better to decide if you believe in God or not, and have that be between you and Him instead of being based on other people's judgments.

The purpose of hell is to lure gullible people...gullible children o_0

Hell and heaven are unfair. Just think about it, According to religions (Christianity/Islam) - if I spend 99% of my life as an intolerant, bigot, murderous atheist, then I become a theist(truly in my heart) before I die, then I go to heaven(do i really deserve it?), however a man who spend his life 99% as a noble, kind-hearted, faithful theist who dies as an atheist, then he will burn in hell for eternity. As humans we can only do a finite amount of sin, but hell is an infinite amount of punishment. Why call him god, if this is how he call punishment? Same goes to heaven.

I get told that all the time by my grandmother because I don't go to Church every Sunday. But I have my reasons behind that, and she can't tell me I'm not a good Christian just because I don't go to Church.

Although, you probably have entirely different reasons as evidenced by your question. I'm just sick of it as well.

I sick and tired of people saying I have to be tollerant and respect homosexuals and muslims. I can preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ to you without ever mentioning the word hell or eternal damnation.
