No. Many of the terrorists are often members of extremely radical versions of Sunni Islam, often Wahabbism...a version that doesn't even like other versions of itself. Their leaders wrangle violence out of their religion in the same way that the Christian Identity, KKK, and Army of God does. They are very loud, shrill, and well funded...and because of the last many muslims have no choice but to depend on them for their survival.
In case you haven't noticed, quite a lot of the violence has been less targeted at Americans and more against the Shia muslims...some of whom retaliate. The whole thing is a massive civil war that has been boiling for a long time.
Perhaps some of you guys should actually TALK to a few muslims and get their opinions instead of making things up about things you don't understand.

No. I actually know Muslims and I've read the Qur'an and I don't believe the media's portrayal of all Muslims as fundamentalists.

no, there are sects that take literal translations and screw them up. like in the bible when it says that you pretty much shouldn't have sex with a woman who is on her period or your head will be smashed into a rock.

koran verse 9:111 advises that if you kill non beleivers and are killed you will be worthy of the "great rewards" (virgins and whatnot). You decide.
