These are the most carnal and lacking in perception replies I've read in a while. While I don't fault any of those who replied for the conditions they were born under, its hard not to judge your discernment as seriously lacking.
The pagans who call themselves Christian overcome what now? According to the Constantine religion you worship there is no overcoming anything but only professing your belief in Jesus with your lips. There is no work upon yourself, no change in lifestyle nor mindset but you continue to drown in the ignorance you made for yourself.
In regards tot he atheistic reply, you only exists because religious fundamentlists do. In short you are the opposite end of the spectrum existing only by virtue of their own ignorance which makes you in turn ignorant as well. And while both sides i.e the fundamentalists and Athesists can understand the ignorance in each others belief, what you can not do is understand concepts that exists on a higher level than your own and not only that you can't view the ignorance in your own self less you would of moved passed your own elementary doctrine you worship. In other words you would of overcame division in yourself so you could understand things to a greater capacity.
And since all of you except the original poster are unconscious in their movements, you are in no position to judge unless you come to know thy self and understand why your error and all error exists.
Peace

Well, Christians who conquer will be made pillars in “the temple” of God, gaining a permanent position in the spiritual structure.
The second thing which should be obvious is that Jesus (who is speaking here) refers to God as HIS God. Even after returning to heavenly life, Jesus is still in subjection to his heavenly father and still refers to his heavenly father as his God.

More empty promises of reward. Religions like Christianity constantly make empty threats and promises to try to scare and lure converts. This was no different in the time this was written.
Note that this particular promise of reward, like many of the others, is supposed to happen sometime after death, which is, of course, unverifiable. Like George Carlin said, it is the ultimate con game.
This particular promise is even more vague and confusing than others. First, John appears to be writing letters to angels. And he is saying that he will be the one building pillars in God's temple or perhaps making them into pillars. Supposedly this is a good thing. I don't know. Revelations is one of the more vague and confusing rants in the Bible. Some people think that vague and confusing means more accurate, for some reason. They love to take crap like this and make all sorts of interpretations and predictions from it.

The new Jerusalem is the future dwelling of the people of God (21.2). We will have a new citizenship in God's future kingdom. Everything will be new, pure, and secure.

Doesn't really mean anything does it.
Guess its just another example of nonsense in the bible.
Hopefully someday I will find a passage that isn't nonsense but I'm almost at the end so I really don't hold out much hope.
