What is your prime objective? Survive at any cost or anything cheaper?
If you are looking for cheaper option, just DIE!! that would be cheapest for you... survive at any cost, then walk up to nearest town and get bread...dont eat it completely. wait for 10 mins after every bite.

Order it online and have rush delivery. Since you are in the desert, you don't need bread for a SANDwich.
