My car's engine blew up, the tags are fairly new, I bought another car, can I transfer the other car tags to the new car???

As long as you have insurance, the title, and proof of ownership, there's no reason why you can't go to the DMV or DPS and register the new vehicle and tell them you've already got plates; they'll merely issue another windshield tag. Then you have to have the vehicle inspected, naturally.
Of course, you'll also have to pay a fee, but it is an easy process.

DO NOT - UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES - merely change the plates from one car to another or you could be charged with numerous offenses. Good luck

In most States, you need to sell the old vehicle before you can transfer the plates.
