and can't afford to pay for funerals, health care etc....

would you donate money to a person that wanted to move out of a certain area and you were in the area?

Research only.

Thank you!

This is meant as a charity to help people who otherwise really do not have the money to move out of areas that are not good for them.

I live in a state that sees a lot of migrant help ~ these people have literally scraped together their last dime to move up here in hopes of finding work. If there isn't any work for them, they find themselves stranded and unable to move to an area that might have better employment opportunities.

I am part of a charitable network that provides financial assistance to those in need. Sometime that financial assistance means paying for gasoline or a bus ticket so they can find work in another part of the state or geographic region ~ and none of our many donors have a problem with that. A person can't extract himself from the cycle of poverty, and certainly homelessness, without a decent paying job.

I personally wouldn't. It is up to them to either have the savings or have credit line to pay for such a move.

You don't have to take them in, either... in fact I would be against that.

There is always someone around with their hand out... bridal and baby showers, birthdays, leaving the job... I got to the point where I quit donating to all of these because it is very one-sided... especially if they are taking up donations for birthdays and mine has not been celebrated similarly.
