If you were already legally seperated at the time, and, he had court ordered control of the vehicle, call the dmv...if you have all the paperwork, they will probably work with you...otherwise your out of luck.

If the DMV has an action against you, I would say they have a reason. If you allowed him to drive your car and insurance did not cover him, you are liable since you allowed an uninsured person to drive the car. This can also happen if he is not licensed. Check with your insurance carrier.

Not enough information to give you a definitive answer. Was this a vehicle in your name? If yes, you are responsible for anything that happens to the vehicle whether you were driving or not. When you 'loan' your car it's on you. If it's not in your name, they have made an error, just call them and tell them it is not your vehicle and you were not driving.

No you are not. Ex- husband like to put the guilt on someone there ex so it make them feel better about themselves. My ex is saying it is all my fault on why he can not have a relationship. And I live over 2hrs away from him. Don't worry it is not your fault at all. Do not let him have the satisfaction of making you feel terrible about anything. Chin up!!!!
