Nissan Armada Black Tape Removal?

There is a black sticker on the Door pillar on my Nissan armada....When you peel it off you can have the body color.....i want to peel it off but i heard you get scratches when you do it......How can i peel it without scratches.......

Use heat gun or parked in the hot sun and fingers only to peal the tape off no scrapers then the adheasive use 3M adheasive remover it is gentle enough out of the sun with lots of rubbing and you will be down to body color. That black piece kind of wraps around into the window channel so pulling the channel rubber back some times helps catch the edge with your finger nails and gos behing the belt line moulding too.

Heat up the sticker with a hair dryer or on a warm sunny day and carefully peel it off and clean the glue off with some lighter fluid or some wax and grease remover from Wal Mart or parts store
