Absolute minimum is 8 weeks, NEVER younger than that. Many breeders prefer to keep them until 12. The pups are still learning from their mother and each other about social skills, such as pack behavior, bite inhibition, etc., and it makes for more well-adjusted dogs. (I recommend keeping them until 12 weeks).

For them to be weaned its about 3-4 weeks old and to be sold usually 8-9 weeks but with some of the smaller breeds you might want to wait til 12 weeks.

8 to 9 weeks, unless your breeder is diligent about house training and socializing them I would not get them much later, and DEFINATELY no earlier.
