I was wondering if someone could try to explain this recurring dream to me. I've had variations of it but the same theme, like 3 times in the last month.
Basically I graduated high school in June, but I have the dream that graduation was just for show and we have to go back a for while longer, like I was just getting over it and now I have to go back for a while. Can anyone explain it?

Usually it means you have some unresolved issue from then. I still dream about having to go back and take classes I missed, and I've been out more than 15 years.

I have a recurring dream about high school/college too. It's sort of the same as yours. I've already graduated, but for some reason I have to go back and re-take classes. I'm always late and I've only ever been to like 2 of the classes. It's horrible. I think it means I've got some major un-resolved issues. Major fear and anxiety, perhaps about getting older. The fear of moving on. I've had this dream for about 5 years. Sometimes as often as 3 times a week.

Your high school graduation was just a step ( just for show) to bigger and better things in life, it means you will eventually move on to higher things like going to college or university- you have probably been thinking about it, thus; it has been recurring. Once you have come to a decision, your dreams will stop. It is a dream that is guiding you.

I have a similar dream about the navy. I keep getting sent back to my boat.
I will say I don't think it's unresolved issues. That's a silly answer. I am always worried that my life after the Navy was not real, that I never really was happy. It makes me appreciate my freedom.
It could be that you're apprehensive about going forward with your life. After High School is the unknown. You fall back to the known, but it feels like you're missing out on something, which you would be if you went back to highschool.
Don't be afraid of the unkown.

Was high school a great place or a safe place for you. Perhaps you are a bit nervous about what to do now and where you are headed and feel that it would be good to go back to the safe and known world of high school.
