Soda is especially bad for you, even diet. My boss stopped drinking diet soda and lost 5 pounds instantly. Try switching to water. Always carry a bottle around with you. You can add a little bit of lemon juice to it, if you need a little flavor. If you have a hard time drinking water, you can try starting with tea (the kind you brew yourself, not the ones you buy). Try to not eat past a certain time at night. I don't think you need to restrict what you eat, just try to make good choices when you can. i.e. chosing a small fry and water instead of large fry and soda.

yes.

Eat only when hungry and not more than thrice a day. Nothing other than water in between. Include plenty of uncooked vegetables and fruits in each meal, preferably 50%. Chew each morsel at least 32 times to activate ur body to generate signals of hunger/fullness. Obey these signals.

Take light exercises and brisk walks regularly preferably twice a day.

U will achieve what u have not even dreamt and that too in a reasonable time. Do not be in a hurry.

diet soda can be just as bad for you as regular soda. yah it may not have any calories, but your body still has to live with all that crap in the soda itself. when you consume any diet food you are actually doing your body more harm than good because diet foods take out important nutrients that your body may need, because they are high in fat the product makers take them out so they can label the food with less calories. so really if your going to drink soda you may as well just drink regular soda and drink it sparingly, because any soda diet or not is going to be unhealthy.

I do not know the reason why, but, I know that if you stop drinking any soda, ANY soda, start drinking water instead, you will lose weight. Any weight you gain from drinking soda is just 'junk' weight, not good for you.

Diet soda is just as bad as regular soda, dark sodas like cola can lead to heart disease so try to only drink lighter colored sodas like sprite etc.

all diet sodas contain considerable amounts of sodium, and can therefore make you retain water, but they have no calories so you cannot gain fat. However the artificial sweetners do not trigger the saiety centers of the brain and can make you hungry causing you to eat more than you migh ordinarily eat.

The sodium is usually higher in diet drinks so you may gain water weight. Of course, I would take water weight over fat anyday.
