Hi fellow Yahoo users. I don't know if I have some sort of illness or something but I usually nosebleed once every day or two. And if I do nosebleed, another one happens to come usually about 3 hours after.... My friends never nosebleed, but my best friend's brother told me that when he was 13 like I am he had it too. Can anyone help resolve this problem? THX!!

You may need the blood vessels in your nose cauterised. Its very common. go see your GP and he can check you out.

My sister and I have this problem. I don't think it's a serious medical condition, but my sister had it a lot worse than me. We have a weak vessel above our nose, and sometimes, it bursts for no apparent reason. To stop the nosebleed, always squeeze the top of your nose. Do not squeeze your nostrils, squeeze right about where you can feel the bone. Hold your nose like that for at least a minute and it should stop. Placing ice right above your nose (like about in between your eyes) can help it, too. Also, never tilt back, it causes you to swallow the blood, which is not good. I still get these nose bleeds sometimes, but doing this helped it stop sooner. My sister had nosebleeds almost every morning and night. To long term stop it, she saw a doctor, who suggested surgery. The surgery wasn't anything serious, just to fix that weak vessel of hers. If you think it's this bad, go ahead and see a doctor about the surgery, but the other tips should stop it short term.

My daughter had this problem, so we went to an ear, nose, throat specialist. He said that her veins were really close to the surface and when they got irritated they would bleed. So he had to cauterize (chemical burn) the ends of the bleeding veins. It hurt for about 3 hours afterwards. But she didn't have nose bleeds for about 6-8 months.

Where are your parents? The first thing to do is to see a doctor. It may be nothing serious but why take a chance? Tell your parents to take you to a doctor or ask the school officials to help. Do not wait.

I would suggest that you see a doctor. Perhaps an ear, nose, and throat expert.
