I have a samsung k3 mp3 player. And i'm posted to Tuas Naval Base. Am I allowed to bring it in? When I was in BMTC, I was told that only mp3 players with the flashdrive arent allowed. Thanks

You can bring mp3 players on base. You can't bring them into sensitive areas (the SCIF, for example) but you can have them on base. My wife has one with her in Iraq, along with everyone else. Don't bring it with you while you're on duty, and you'll be fine.

it is always abt security. whatever you bring should not be able to allow you to take out sensitive information. Think it is best to avoid all this. It is best to chk MSD directive.

as long as you have a place to secure it in your quarters, you'll be fine. it might not be allowed in the workspace, though.
