Over the past month I've had increasing problems with my eyes tearing up, one more than the other. I am now rubbing, wiping off my makeup and look like I'm crying at work. I wake in the morning with my eyelids stuck together. I was recently diagnosed with diabetes. Any ideas?

I only wear eye liner and change the color and brand from day to day. I do not use sunblocks, etc. Its winter here so allergies don't seem logical. I did speak to my Doctor today who advised Murine for awhile, saying it might just be "something in the air".... I started sneezing like crazy tonite while changing the kitty litter .. a new organic brand .. could it be that simple?

A blocked tear duct is the most common cause of frequent eyes watering, but there are a number of other causes. You may not need treatment if symptoms are mild. An operation can cure a blocked tear duct. Other treatments depend on the cause.

It could be the makeup your wearing. I had the same problem, and switched eye liners and my watery eyes went away.
But it could be something else. It could be a number of allergies you have around. Or the skin care product you use.
Maybe go to the doctor so he can check it out. But try swapping your makeup to start off with.

take care.

Sunscreen and sunblock. I have diabetes and sweat from my head. After putting on sunblock I have gotton too close to my eyes, sweat and had the cream flow in my eyes and until I blot off the sunblock my eyes water something fierce.

Allergies or overactive immune system. The doctor might prescribe you Patanol if he sees your eyes in that condition.
