I'm thinking of getting a puppy but need a loyal, understanding, cute (of course), not too big, doesn't shed too much, doesn't need to much excercise, and a dog that doesn't make to much noise.
Please include reason!

I would say a westie but they need quite alot of exersize.
Also a greyhound are really intelligent loyal dogs. They are quite big but are more than happy to just fall asleep on the sofa.
A smaller version of greyhounds are whippets they are more or less the same just smaller. They dont make much noise are loyal and intelligent and dont shed too much.I personally think they are adorable. But everyone thinks the puppy they choose is adorable dont they?Whippets like greyhounds are happy to lie on the sofa with you and have a snoose but when u want to play they will do that happily as well!!
So for you i would probably say Whippet

A stuffed one might work out better.. LOL..just kidding.. Man with all the doesn't things you want though, you might want to hold off a little longer for a puppy.
it seems like for a puppy you would like it to come trained already.. LOL.. When you get a puppy you have to expect it to make quiet a bit of noise.. They cry a lot. So your looking for something about German Shepherd size or smaller? that doesn't shed too much . that will put you in the poodle types of familys, but.. hmmm, poodles yap quite a bit.. And then something that doesn't need too much excerise? all dogs need exercise.. I don't think honestly your ready for a puppy..
Gee, Good luck on your search!!

HAVANESE!!! They are soo adorable, and sweet, small (like, up to 13lbs). They have hair, and they don't shed, you can also keep it at a puppy cut (so cute) but if you want to show the dog you keep it long. They are very loyal (its soo cute how at first they follow you around) and they don't need too much exercise (one of the top ten city dogs), also I recommend getting the puppy from www.cornerstonekennels.com where I got mine.

Well, lets check my book 'The Encyclopedia of Dogs' You said not too big so a medium sized dog right? And doesnt need to much excersize... Hmmm.. The terrier section will work alot!! How about the Norfolk and Norwich Terrier? These are cheerful, lively, and intelligent dogs which are friendly, brave, and playful!! But give it a place to dig. It likes to dig!! Also this terrier learns quite quickly.
Or the Sealyham Terrier! Its intelligent and learns easily. But just give it a long walk... And its cute too!!!

WOW Sweety you don't ask for much!!!Haha! A dog who is little loyal, understanding, cute, doesn't shed, not much exercise, and not much noise! May I suggest a "cyber dog"!
I have German Shepherds and they don't meet any of your criteria, but they give me unconditional love and protection. I would not want to live without them, but perfect? No they aren't! And I love them just exactly how they are!

i have a Pomeranian [sp?]. although she's scared easily because she was abused before my family got her, she is cute and never makes any noise. and when she sheds, the hair is in clumps. she's really small also.

You left out "doesn't eat much" and is "housebroken"
***ALL dogs are loyal, (they will worship you even if you abuse them.)
***ALL dogs are cute!
***ALL dogs shed!
***ALL dogs need lots of exercise!
***ALL dogs make noise!
