That is a tricky answer because nine times out of ten you need the job and that is the truth so I think the best answer will be a mix tell them what they want to hear along with the truth.
I work for a Bio Tech firm and I actually did research in the company before my interview so I would have knowledge of the company. So when I was asked the similar question I told them the truth.
I was looking for work and I need a pay check so I started researching companies and when I came across yours I fell in love with everything you do for the medical field. I want to have the satisfaction of making the medical field a little better everyday and if I can do that I will be the best for your company because you will want some one here who loves there job and who wants the best for the company to continue on the best path.
Try that. Or something like that but make it the truth

After the question is asked, pause for a moment, as if you are considering it.
I believe that, from what we've discussed, my abilities would contribute greatly to _____(co. name). I also feel that there is an opportunity to learn as well as room for professional growth. From what we've discussed, we'd be a good match."
Even if you don't use the above, don't let your answer exceed three sentences.
Remember that the white elephant in the room is "that I want the money" that never goes over well.
The point of an interview for a company is to get to the best candidate, which is you. The point of an interview for you is to be in the decision-making seat as to whether or not you'll accept the job.

If it is for a job interview then tell what you think they want to hear. Make it sound like you love the place and have heard very nice things about it.
Best if you know a little about the company.

If it is an interview, they are trying to make you nervous. Just tell them why you applied for the job, or go for cliches....'this is a great place to be and I want to be one of you' 'since I was three years old, I have dreamed of working here" etc

Because you want to graduate from Ramen, to Kraft Mac & Cheese. ;)
The actual answer is something along the lines of, you researched the company and you feel that it would be a good fit for you and vice versa. And that additionally, you posses skills that would be an asset to them, and you think it would give you invaluable experience.

tell them you have more than the required experience or knowledge about the job in question. if you don't then just lie. you can learn once you're on the job. it's getting the job that's the problem.
