Be yourself and have self respect. Keep your head high and shoulders back. They will come to you.

If you perceive yourself as ugly, other people will also feel that way. So, look in the mirror. Do you need a haircut? Could you use some makeup? How about some new clothing? I know that it's what's inside that counts, but first, you have to get their attention. Make a list of what you think is wrong and determine how to change it. As for shyness, just say hi to people you meet in class, boys and girls. Soon, people will begin to respond to you. Make sure you join a club or a team. In a short time, you'll have many friends. Have a great time in college!

I'm like you too. It's really important to girls what guys think of them. When you first go off to college don't go on any dates for at least the first month because any of the guys who ask you out then doesn't know you and may just be looking for an easy target. Just because you don't have a boyfriend doesn't mean you're ugly. Do you know how attractive a girl who has saved herself for 17 years already is? I bet you're gorgeous and you just need to see that. Half of the girls in the world go through high school with no boyfriends. College is really the time when everyone starts seriously dating. Just take it easy and try not to have a crush on the first guy who talks to you at college. My sister isn't going to kiss anyone till her wedding and she never dated or was good friends with any guys in highschool. Yet now (even though she's over weight) she has tons of guys who like her and who she is really good friends with. Don't be so hard on yourself. You're beautiful! Keep your head held high and let people see who you are inside, because after a little while the looks don't matter as much as what's inside. Take things slow, don't fall in love fast. I promise you, you will have a bunch of guys that like you in college, so just be carefull not to give your self away, but to wait for the right guy.

If you make yourself attractive...... with a flattering hair style and cosmetics, you will be more likely to attract a guy. If you've always had long hair, then try a shorter "do." Have it cut short enough that it doesn't drag on your shoulders.
Change your attitude; be more pleasant to be around and make the effort to smile easily. Be positive in your outlook. Expect to begin a whole new life in the fall. Act like you're pretty, [even if you're not in your opinion]. Learn to be a fairly good conversationalist or how to draw the other person out and engage in conversation. Get the focus off yourself. Beautiful people make other people beautiful.

i used to feel exactly the same way, but i've learnt to realize that boys and evry1 r impressd wit ur personality than the way u luk...
but after i've startd goin to college, i met new people and found that the world aint so bad as it may seem to u n me.
there r many gurls who may look pretty, but are ouut of shape. Remember, evry1 is born with probs of their own.
N besides, u should be grateful to God, that u have an abled body, unlike me having a lower limb deformity.
Socialize a litle more, get rid of ur shyness gradualy... n u'll soon realize that this is indeed a beautiful world!!
Keep smiling always!:)

You're beautiful and any boy will go out with you if you just ask nicely. At college, join some clubs and societies where boys are to be found. Theatre and drama are good, so is anything to do with cars or trains. Dress a bit sexy and you'll be up to your ears in eager boys all desperate to clutch at the hem of your garment.

Well first of all no one is ever gonna love you if you don't love yourself. Be proud of who you are and what you look like.. you are only 17 you have your whole life to find a guy, and relationships are never as great on the inside as they look from the outside. Even ugly girls get guys.. its not how you look its how you act and if you are always self pitying than no one will ever want ya.

Please do not let thoughts like this fill your head. You're 17 only, it's so young! I know whatever happens now is for the best only. Your guardian angels are keeping you away from possible troubles and save you for a great love that is ahead.
However, nothing wrong to fall in love platonically, it will teach you how to love.
Everything that happens, is for the best. Remember my words as you will see in the future.

you shouldn't think like that of yourself.no one's ugly in this world.you should carry yourself with confident.i'm sure you're a nice girl.i once felt this way too and when i'm 16,i got my first BF who's totally hot!i suggest, you sign up for any courses or clubs that have lots of boys and maybe you'll get noticed.or better still, try experimenting on some make-ups. =)
